Products, Content and Specifications

Shelf Life – Soaps & Body Care Products
All of our products are handmade with natural ingredients. This unfortunately means they do have a limited shelf life. Please keep in mind the aroma of certain essential oils, fragrances, and colorants will diminish over time once exposed to air. We recommend that you use the soaps and body care products within one year of date of purchase. For a longer storage, store soaps in a cool and dry place. Avoid excessive heat or exposure to direct sunlight.
Shipping
While we have done our best to obtain accurate shipping rates, there are times when actual shipping will be slightly different than what is shown during the transaction. Shipping boxes come in a variety of sizes (we recycle :o) ) and handmade items sometimes differ in size/weight from order to order. We will refund any shipping overcharges of $1 or more.
All orders are shipped via the US Post Office at checkout. We cannot ship on a Sunday, but we will notify you when your order has shipped. Orders are downloaded each day. We try to ship orders within 72 hours of being received, but sometimes it isn’t possible due to order volume or lack of inventory.
For our soap, if the inventory is not available, normal time from order to ship is three weeks to allow for curing time. This ensures you are receiving a handmade product of the highest quality. Other products will vary for production time and we will be in contact with you regarding your order.
If we do not have enough inventory on hand to ship within 72 hours, we will contact you to discuss product substitution or extending the shipping date (remember, you are purchasing handmade products). Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days to process your order on average.
If you want to change your order after it has been placed, please email support@bothrootsandwings.com to adjust your order. If your order has already shipped, a new order will have to placed, either by phone, email or on our website and new shipping charges will apply.
We do not ship orders on Sundays or holidays, so please do not count these days towards your total ship time. Point of departure is Washington State. If you need your shipment by a certain date, please allow sufficient time for your order to reach you. Please understand all ordering and shipping procedures before you place your order. You will receive an email with your shipment tracking number as soon as your package leaves us. This email will give you an estimated delivery date.
All items received in damaged condition from the shipper need to be addressed with the USPS office which handles delivery.
Local Delivery/Pick-up
At this time we do not own a retail location. We will continue to meet with our local customers for delivery of your products. This service is only available in the Spokane, WA and Deer Park, WA areas. We don’t charge extra for this service, and availability of this service is subject to coordination between our busy schedule and yours. If we can arrange to meet with you for product delivery at a mutually beneficial time and location, we will be more than happy to get our products into your hands directly! Please note your order with your contact preferences and contact information, to arrange for local delivery/pick-up.
Returns – Personal Care Products and Essential Oil Products
Our refund policy for these items is “All Sales Final”. Unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange after personal care and or skin care products have left our facility. This is due to sanitary cosmetic laws.
Returns – OTHER Products
We have a 10 day full money back guarantee. If you are not pleased with your purchase, please return your items for a full refund or replacement at your option. Shipping costs are not refundable. Please call us first to be sure the item you wish to return is one that we can actually receive back.

Hours
The site will accept online orders 24/7 every day of the year. If the site is ever down for maintenance, we will make every effort to restore service as soon as possible. In the event of an outage, we apologize for any inconvenience. However, our family run business is NOT 24/7, so please be patient as we will reply to your questions and process your orders as soon as possible.
Payment Methods
We accept most credit cards. The funds have to clear our bank before we can ship your order. No money orders, COD, or credit accounts are accepted for online orders.
Orders placed on our site are encrypted with SSL (Security Socket Layer ) technology. That means our secure server encrypts all information you input to our cart before it is sent to us. This technology can be trusted to send information over the internet.
Pre-approved checks and cash can only be accepted for online orders designated as local delivery. When processing payment for an order designated as local delivery, specify “Invoice” in the shopping cart for payment.
We do not offer credit terms or Net 30 Day credit accounts.
